Ribbed glass, one wick, and a jar drawn to the lamp so it sits under the shade with room around it rather than wedged under it. That is the point of making our own: the fit stops being a question.
The wick is there and it works if you want to light it. Under the lamp it never gets lit, the whole top surface melts, and the sides do not go to waste.

Questions people actually ask
Do I need your candle to use the lamp?
No. The lamp warms the jar candles you already own. Ours are made so the fit is never a guess.
Can I light it normally?
Yes. It has a wick and it behaves like any other jar candle. Under the lamp the wick simply stays unlit.
How long does the scent last under the lamp?
That depends on the room, the setting on the dimmer and how long you leave it on, so any number we gave you would be a guess. We have not run our own timed test yet, and until we have we are not printing one.
